Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that powers that result. South Jordan Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search entries on its own servers. A message sent to the operator contains whatever information the sender chooses to include and is used to answer the message.
Automatic Server Data
The host may keep ordinary server logs such as an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. These records help identify outages and understand overall traffic. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where those services are enabled.
How Information Is Used
Operational data is used to keep the pages working, address technical problems, measure broad use, and improve the reference. The operator does not sell a visitor list or build a personal profile from ordinary visits.
Links and Search Providers
Pages link to the South Jordan City Recorder, Salt Lake County Assessor and Recorder, Utah Elections, Utah Courts, health offices, libraries, archives, and other providers. Their policies govern what happens after a visitor leaves this reference. Sponsored search boxes are also supplied by an outside company, with its own data practices and terms.
Who Processes Log Data
Hosting and support providers may process the limited server data needed to deliver the pages. Analytics or advertising services may receive the automatic information described here. Information may be disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is handled for the operational purposes stated in this policy.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Logs are kept only for as long as the stated operational needs require. There are no site accounts, passwords, or personal profiles stored here for a visitor.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operator does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, a message to the operator can request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Utah’s Consumer Privacy Act is codified at Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 61. Where it applies, it provides rights that can include access, correction, deletion of personal data provided to a controller, portability, and certain opt-outs. Because this reference keeps little information, a request is generally handled by checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs. Use the Contact page to make a request.
Official public records held by Utah, Salt Lake County, or South Jordan offices are outside the operator’s control. Removal or correction requests for those records must go to the custodian. Utah GRAMA, Utah Code Title 63G, Chapter 2, governs access to state and local government records, subject to the classifications and exemptions in that law.
Policy Changes
A revised policy will be posted here with its updated wording. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
